This week in news we mourn the untimely death of author Michael Crichton, how “James Bond Jr.” almost appeared in Quantum of Solace, the upcoming Three Stooges film, and an update on the Iron Man 2 casting problems.
The main topic of the week is Ultimate Movie Badasses. We each picked one character as our own ultimate movie badass, which collectively made (in no particular order) a Total Domination Top 5 Ultimate Movie Badasses! There are some surprises in store for you guys in this one!
And finally our Movie of the Week this week is David Cronenberg’s Scanners. Scanners is about Darryl Revok is the most powerful of all the scanners, and is the head of the underground scanner movement for world domination. Scanners have great psychic power, strong enough to control minds; they can inflict enormous pain/damage on their victims. Doctor Paul Ruth finds a scanner that Revok hasn’t, and converts him to their cause – to destroy the underground movement. Surprisingly this was our first time ever seeing this movie.
